Research activities and aims

The Minerva Center for Early Life under Extreme Planetary Conditions is devoted to understanding life in extreme conditions on solar system planets and beyond. It studies in concert the physical, geochemical, and biological aspects of the topic, and seek to develop a framework for addressing questions at the forefront of the search for life in the universe. The Center activities focus on important scientific questions in the fields of Planetary Formation & Evolution, Early Life, Origin of Life, and Extremophiles.
